Bucket list- a movie review

The story of the movie ‘Bucket list’ is simple. It showcases a typical Marathi housewife, Madhura (Madhuri Dixit) who was given a heart transplant by a 20-year-old girl (Sai). Eager to know more, Madhura goes and meets the parents of the girl who gave her a life. There she finds out her donor had a bucket list that she wants to complete before turning 21. As a show of gratitude Madhura decides to complete that list in 6 months (Sai’s birthday). To complete this list, she has to do some daring things she never would have attempted – getting drunk, getting arrested and riding a Harley etc. With the help of family, friends and inner talent Madhura is able to finish the bucket list with barriers in her way.

For the main star, Madhuri, I would rate her acting and elegance a big-five-o. Now for the movie, even though we can see Sai is a daring girl it felt like the ‘bucket list’ was too short, also certain scenes have a slight resemblance with mother- daughter scenes in English vinglish. Some other things that could have been improved were the slug-pace scenes of Madhuri and husband. I would say those scenes weren’t needed at all. Over all the movie was FANTASTIC. With a few minor changes it would’ve been a 5 star, but right now I’m going to rate the overall movie a good 4.
